The paper recommends that dentists screen patients for fear in order to tailor treatment. Are we not already good at telling who is afraid? Will screening work, or be any better? And the obvious- those most afraid don't come at all. I suspect dentistry is no more anxiety-inducing in Australia than it is in the UK.
