QIPP or no QIPP

I am pleased to see my latest contribution to the BDJ published. The subject matter is QIPP and how, on analysis, it does not stand up as a concept. Follow the link to read my deconstruction of this particular concept. As we try to move to a more evidence-based focus for what we do we can well do without a continual stream of meaningless acronyms which are little more than attempted branding of concepts by the latest DH incumbents. I think it is important that we stand up and make noise when these circumstances occur. Other recent violations include: "Unit of Dental Activity" and "World Class Commissioning". It is not until we turn off the stream of nonsense that we can start to communicate effectively, particularly accross perceived boundaries.
