The BDA's press release on 6th April states "the BDA would like to see a more ambitious approach to dental public health". I support this. They also draw attention to the shortage of consultants in dental public health. Of course this is now set against a backdrop of the uncertain consequences, particularly as they are now halted, of a reformed NHS, and how and where consultants in dental public health will fit into the final picture.
